Legionella is a waterborne bacterium which can cause Legionnaires’ disease, a potentially fatal pneumonia-like illness. Legionella is commonly found in the natural environment (e.g. lakes and rivers) but when it enters manmade water systems it can grow and spread rapidly. For this reason, it’s important to assess the risk of Legionella in your commercial and domestic water systems and be able to demonstrate to the authorities that sufficient control measures are in place to minimise the risk to health.
All Legionella Risk Assessments are carried out in accordance with AcoP L8 and HSG274: Parts 1, 2 and 3 Guidance, rest assessed that upon completion of your Legionella Risk Assessment, our team will task time to advise you on how to implement a sufficient Water Hygiene Programme and what tasks should be included to achieve the optimum level of compliance.
